Dear Mr. William and Holland Sponsors,
My name is Ann Njambi. I am 33 years old. I met mr. William at Tereza Nuzzo Children`s Home at Satellite Kabiria in Nairobi.I was in Primary School by then. I joined the home in 2000 after my mother died and I thank the Daughters of the Sacred Heart so much for giving me that opportunity to stay there. I will always appreciate them for being my parents until the age of 18 year. I am a complete orphan since I have never seen or heard about my father, because I have no parents. I come from a family of 3. My brother is older, my sister is second and I am the last born. Among the three I was lucky since I was taken to Tereza Nuzzo children's home and also educated and I thank God for that. My brother and sister had to remain with an aunt in Ruiru.
I have met a new family since then. At Satellite, the orphanage, is where I met Mr. William. He was coming frequently to visit us with his late sister Janet, his friends and sometimes sponsors from Holland. From what I had seen by then I knew he was a very good man with a good heart for helping the needy since he would come to assist, sponsor and play with us. We had lovely meals with him and he made us feel like we had a father who most of us never had or dreamt of. Mr. William was a very humble and good man to all of us. We loved him so much and we still do. He always ensured us that all our needs were catered for and we should not worry but pray for all the benefactors from Holland. He always said he would be powerless to help without sponsors. By then, to tell the truth, I never understood what he meant but now I am older I do. With time I came to understand him and I take this special moment to thank each and every person who went his/her way to make sure that me and the rest of the children's needs and education were catered for. Thank you so much I truly appreciate you all wherever you are may you and your families never lack anything. Always in my prayers, that is all I can give you. God bless you.
While I was at home, Mr. William, through the help of the other benefactors, took us to various places to see animals, playgrounds, swimming-pools and do many other activities. We felt like other children who had parents. We had a good life at Satellite. I thank everyone who worked very hard or gave out whatever donation she or he had to see us smile and live a healthy life. I truly appreciate it so much. God bless you.
I went through my primary school and passed very well and processed to high school and also passed. As I talk I am a degree holder that is a bachelor of commerce (finance option), CPA part 1, and Diploma in business management. I am very grateful and appreciate all the benefactors. Through my education, I have managed to be employed by various companies and I have working experience. At the moment I work as a bookkeeper at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. I would never have reached so far if I had not been sponsored.
I am now a mother of two, a boy 6 years old and a girl 2 years old. I thank my husband and my kids for always being there for me. I love them so much. I always work hard to see them happy.
I am sad that I lost my brother last year who has been living as a street child since my mother died. May his soul rest in peace.
My sister is well and happy in her marriage and I truly appreciate her for always being there for me since she is the only person I am left with as a sibling.
Thank you, God, for bringing Holland people who came into my life and other children in any way and making me who I am today. Many I don`t know but they showed love and care to poor children. God bless you and I will always pray for you and your lovely families. Be blessed. Much love to you all.
Ann Njoki
