BOUW SCHOOLLOKALEN IN MIRUJI

In de volgende link treft u 5 korte chronologische video’s aan over de aanleg van klaslokalen in het afgelegen en armoedige gebied dat Miruji heet. Op 5 februari is daar de bouw van de lokalen begonnen. De beelden laten zien hoe groot de motivatie van de bevolking is. 

De video’s spreken veel mensen in zowel Nederland als Kenia op Facebook aan. De afgelopen dagen hebben de video’s op Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/WimvandenBurgKeniaProject ) binnen een paar dagen zelfs bijna 15.000 personen bereikt met veel reacties. Hieronder ziet u er 2 van.

Ik wil graag benadrukken, dat ik dat niet als een persoonlijk succes beschouw. We doen het namelijk gezamenlijk: sponsors, bevolking, werknemers, leerkrachten, autoriteiten enz. Op die manier werken we allen samen mee om de armoede te bestrijden en zo veel mogelijk armlastige kinderen aan een goede toekomst te helpen door goed onderwijs.

Mr William, you are the man our generations will keep in their memories.Ever since I knew you back in 1990s you have changed the phase of our education in Lamu infrastructure. It is a fact that you don't get any funding from our nation. You have done more than it can be said. I wish I had the power to recommend that you be awarded with the head of state commendation for the patriotism in you. 

Congratulations and be counted in God's plan for your many days to come. 

I count you as my hero for your honesty. Today hundreds of families are living with something on their table because you are a true statesman, I am happy you believe in us. You are honest, trusted and more: a man of integrity. 

I will make sure I mention your name for recommention to be honored for being a non politician Lamuan who has big heart for our people.
